The Urban Development Institute of Australia NSW (UDIA) welcomes the opportunity to provide comment on the draft Lowes Creek Marylands Precint Plan.
This submission addresses includes recommendations that are not merely intended to address the Lowes Creek Maryland Precinct alone but apply to the Government’s approach to all precinct planning where timeframes for development are long term and land ownership does not suffer from excessive fragmentation, such as:
- Urban development zone
- Maximum dwelling density caps
- Indicative Layout Plan issues
UDIA NSW actively represents the industry’s interests so that urban development can be undertaken positively in NSW. We advocate for access to land for development, encourage the creation of a positive regulatory environment and an equitable system of taxation and charges on consumers, all with the aim of creating amazing urban environments.
