UDIA NSW welcomes the opportunity to comment on the Revised Draft Rhodes East Precinct Plan (revised plan). UDIA NSW Members have been involved in all the major urban renewal projects in Sydney over the past decade and includes the key landowners in the Rhodes East Precinct.
Our concerns included the lack of consultation informing the development of the plan, unsuitable provision of infrastructure and unfeasible charging regime, which was underpinned by inadequate feasibility analysis.
UDIA NSW actively represents the industry’s interests so that urban development can be undertaken positively in NSW. We advocate for access to land for development, encourage the creation of a positive regulatory environment and an equitable system of taxation and charges on consumers, all with the aim of creating amazing urban environments.
