UDIA welcomes the opportunity to provide feedback to the NSW Government and Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure regarding the Review into Land Acquisition processes and the Just Terms Compensation Act 1991 (‘Just Terms Act’ or ‘the Act’). The NSW Government intends to improve the process, so it can be more fair, easy to understand and transparent for landowners, councils and authorities acquiring property.
UDIA has prepared written responses to the Discussion Paper’s questions, as well as additional feedback and recommendations, as part of the Review’s broader objectives and stated outcomes.
