UDIA NSW Submission on the Draft Blueprint for the Western Parkland City

The Western Parkland City Authority has prepared a draft Blueprint for the Western Parkland City which aims to achieve “Green, Advanced and Connected” outcomes. The draft Blueprint identifies future rail corridors that will connect the Bradfield Centre at the Aerotropolis to surrounding areas including Leppington by 2031 and future connections to the south towards Macarthur/ Campbelltown and north from St Marys to Tallawong and northeast towards Westmead. We support these corridors as locations for growth based on Transit Oriented Design principles at future stations and precincts. We also support a sustained funding program of $60 billion over 15 years to provide up to 200,00o new jobs and 180,000 homes for an extra 500,000 people that will live in the Western Parkland City.
