Special Infrastructure Contributions Update

The Department of Planning, Industry and Environment has advised that the new Illawarra Shoalhaven SIC will be exhibited in November this year, in conjunction with the Illawarra Shoalhaven Regional Plan review.

The SIC will be targeted at the West Lake Illawarra and Nowra Bomaderry Release Areas.  At this stage, we anticipate the SIC could include biodiversity certification as part of the costs.

UDIA continues to work with DPIE and delivery agencies on an appropriate list of SIC infrastructure, as well as ensuring that any capacity-to-pay assessment is a true reflection of feasibility for the industry.

We expect to have more detail on the SIC in July/August.
