UDIA Submission to Six Cities Region Discussion Paper

UDIA’s response to the GCC’s Six Cities Region Discussion Paper sets out our areas of agreement; areas of concern; and where more work is required. We call on NSW Government to employ an approach of genuine collaboration to find solutions to:

• Delivering affordable housing
• Achieving Ecologically Sustainable Development goals
• Identifying the right governance approach for engagement on and implementation of strategic plans
• Leveraging private sector investment
• Achieving dwelling targets
• Delivering housing diversity and density
• Identifying future settlements
• Mapping the development-ready pipeline to ensure sustainable housing supply over the long term
• Working toward net zero
