Personal Biography
Amanda has 20 years of commercial and financial experience with Australia’s Tier 1 construction industry leaders (Lendlease, Abigroup, Valemus and Baulderstone Hornibrook) and with Ingham Property Group across greenfield and infill sites in southwestern Sydney. Her experience extends across capital allocation, portfolio performance, strategic finance, business partnering and project delivery. She has partnered across large infrastructure and construction projects, planning, feasibility and funding for residential, industrial and retail/commercial developments. Amanda’s success is underpinned by strong engagement across a network of industry stakeholders including corporate, operational and expert leaders.
Support Statement
Our industry remains beset by challenges in addressing the undersupply of housing and employment opportunities. Strong advocacy has been rewarded with planning reform however this will be a hollow victory if approvals do not translate to meaningful supply. Amanda will commit her strong understanding of the commercial and complex operational barriers to delivering keys in doors and jobs on the ground. In representing the UDIA membership, Amanda will focus on highlighting the importance of feasibility and the unarguable nexus between contributions and enabling infrastructure delivery. Without certainty of infrastructure and the accountability of all agencies to deliver it, project commencements and therefore completions will remain under threat.
