Policy, Advocacy & Research
In consultation with our council, chapters, and membership, UDIA NSW drives positive change through thorough analysis of the pressing issues for the industry. This wealth of knowledge and experience puts UDIA NSW at the forefront when it comes to negotiating with Government. We advocate on the basis of three key issues: sufficient land and housing supply, a better planning system, and timely and affordable infrastructure to support it.

Each year we hold more than 30 high-calibre events that cater to our broad spectrum of members.

Employees of member companies receive up to 30% off the standard fee for all our learning and development programs. We offer introductory courses, critical knowledge training, and a range of specialised workshops. These programs are written and delivered by some of Australia’s most influential property developers, who are leaders in their areas of expertise.

Awards & Scholarships
Each year UDIA NSW bestows a number of highly-prestigious awards to members who have demonstrated an outstanding contribution to the development industry. These include our Awards for Excellence in Development and our Leadership Awards for Women in Development, Young Leaders, Diversity and Distinguished Service. In 2016 a Scholarship was created in memory of a UDIA NSW loyal Life Member, the late Roy Sheargold. The scholarship is awarded annually to a member who can demonstrate their leadership capability and ability to inspire other members.
UDIA NSW has two regional chapters with more than 200 of NSW’s top regional industry practitioners involved in our events and committees. Our regional chapters are: The Hunter Region and The Illawarra Region
We provide more opportunities for your business to be involved in formulating policy direction than any other property development industry body in NSW. Our extensive committee structure, along with our industry forums, roundtable discussions and publications allow members to participate actively and positively influence the direction of the industry.
