In response to advocacy by UDIA NSW, the Hunter Water Corporation (HWC) has modified its policy regarding HWC’s role in dispute resolution with third party land owners. HWC has adopted a new Standard: Developer Works – Entry onto Third Party Property.
Ausgrid: Update on Cable Supply, and Changes to Design Processes
UDIA NSW Hunter Committee members met with representatives from Ausgrid to discuss a range of issues impacting the industry, including the supply of copper triplex cable.
Hunter Regional Plan and UDP
The UDIA NSW Hunter Chapter Committee continued its ongoing advocacy program through meetings with Scot MacDonald, Parliamentary Secretary for the Hunter, and the Department of Planning and Environment on the Hunter Regional Plan and development of a Hunter Urban Development Program (UDP).
Dr. Jim Bentley Appointed Managing Director at Hunter Water Corporation
UDIA NSW congratulates Dr. Jim Bentley on his appointment as the Hunter Water Corporation’s new Managing Director. In welcoming Dr. Bentley to the Hunter, UDIA NSW commended HWC’s professional relationship with the development industry, and highlighted the importance of considering alternative policies for HWC growth funding, which the HWC Board of Directors is due to consider at its August meeting. UDIA NSW looks forward to working with Dr. Bentley and his staff on the industry’s priorities.
The Hunter Makes its Mark in the UDIA NSW Awards for Excellence
The 2016 UDIA NSW Awards for Excellence Finalists and Winners were showcased at the prestigious Awards for Excellence Gala Dinner on August 5th, with the Hunter once again being recognised for its leadership in industry innovation. More than 800 attendees joined the spectacular evening at The Star in Sydney and heard about some of the Hunter’s finest developments.
