Event Details

The market is demanding greater housing diversity to improve housing affordability and meet the needs of different households. What do buyers want, and what can industry deliver? From the single family 600sqm lot, through compact lots, dual occupancies, terraces and apartments, how can we meet market demand?

Two new housing codes will go into effect in July: the Low Rise Medium Density Housing Code, and Greenfield Housing Code. These new codes will allow more dwellings to be carried out under a fast track complying development approval. How will the new codes influence housing product in the Hunter? Do these codes complement the Greater Newcastle Metropolitan Plan’s new emphasis on infill?

Join us to learn more about the changing market preferences, examples of dwelling designs that comply under the new codes and a discussion on how these opportunities can be pulled through in the Hunter.

Please note this event is a briefing with theatre seating. There are no allocated seats or tables.
